This section contains answers to the most frequently asked questions about Dunblane Bike Club. If you can’t find the information you’re looking for, or need further details, please get in touch by submitting an enquiry via the home page.

  • The club meets at the Dunblane Centre every Sunday at 9am.

    We also have rides during the week, 2026 scheudle still tbc.

  • Membership can be found here.

    Once signed up you will get a welcome that has access to SPOND where all our rides are posted.

  • Annual membership is a flat fee of £10 per year.

  • The majority of our rides are on the road so a road, gravel or e bike.

    We do have some gravel rides/mountain bike rides which would require a MTB or a gravel bike.

  • Ride Grades are designed to help members find rides at the pace and distance they want. We use three colour bands to indicate target speed on the flat (not average speed over the whole ride, which is affected by traffic, hills, and weather).

    Green: Distance Up to 20mi/32km    (10 -14mph/16kph-22kph)

    Blue: Distance Up to 50mi/80km (13-16mph/20kph-25kph)

    Red:  Starting at 50mi/80km+ (16-19mph/25-30kph)

  • Dunblane Bike Club values itself on being social and friendly. NO ONE will be left behind.

  • Once membership has been purchased all rides are posted on SPOND. On the app you can confirm if you are attending a session or not.

  • Bring a bike that is safe, a helmet, a spare inner tube and any food/water you may need.

  • We aim to have a social event every quarter; typically, this would be a trip to a pub for live music or a quiz. We are always looking for new ways to bring people together.
